Position Summary

Reporting to the Manager, Environmental Services, you will be responsible for maintaining, cleaning and enhancing the patient environment. Responsibilities also include safe transportation of patients, supplies, specimens and equipment, in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Mandatory Qualifications

Secondary school diploma or equivalent Environmental Services A Course for Frontline Staff (preferred)

Mandatory Competencies

Current housekeeping experience Able to carry out all physical demands of this role see Physical Demands below Exceptional demonstrated customer service skills Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communications skills Able to work in and contribute to a team environment Excellent attendance record Motivated and demonstrated positive attitude and professionalism Sound judgement and time management skills Demonstrated ability to work with little or no supervision Able to work all shifts including holidays and weekends if required

Physical Demands

This position involves extensive physical effort for more than 80 percent of the shift including walking, standing, lifting, pushing, pulling of equipment and carts, and use of ladders.
