Field Service Technician - $35 - $54/hr - 100% Remote (Canada/US) Are you a mechanically inclined individual with 3+ years of experience servicing electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical equipment? Have you serviced and/or installed Laser Cutting Machines, Press Brakes, Tube End Forming Machines, and other CNC machinery? Do you have a valid driver's license with a relatively clean driving record, and able to travel freely between Canada and the US? Are you looking for a position that involves traveling nationally (the majority of clients are based in Winnipeg and Calgary), as well as parts of the US i.e. Michigan? A global leading manufacturer of high-precision and high-performance laser cutting and sawing machines is looking for a Canadian-based Field Service Technician to join their Service team! Permanent Position Hours: Monday to Friday daytime hours (with 10-15 hrs of OT a week) Salary: $35 - $54/hr (based on certification and experience) Advantages This globally recognized leading manufacturer offers you: - Competitive wages - Travel per diem and expenses covered by the company - Great opportunities for OT after 40hrs - Consistent schedule Responsibilities As a Field Service Technician, a normal day would include: - Supports the sales staff in servicing equipment - Installs new equipment at customer sites - Performs preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, emergency repairs, and service of equipment for customers at the customer site - Carefully and accurately documents all service performed on the equipment as well as what service needs are to be accomplished on the equipment in the future - Maintains excellent customer service and customer satisfaction - Demonstrate applicable company software capabilities to the customer - Prepares timesheets, service reports, and installation forms, a timely and accurately - Accurately track expenses and complete expense reports in a timely manner - Maintain a safe work environment and operate within OSHA/MIOSHA guidelines - Communicate with other departments as necessary - Ability to work overtime as required by workload and customer necessity - Other duties as assigned by management Qualifications What do you need for this position? - Canadian citizen based in either Winnipeg or Calgary - Ability to travel freely between Canada and the US - Strong electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical knowledge - High School Diploma required, Associate Degree in a technical discipline is preferred - 2 – 4 years of experience in a similar technical position - At least one year of experience in a customer service role - Ability to travel 90% as assigned by management - Candidates with Trumpf laser machine experience, Amada Laser, Mazak laser, and other similar laser machinery experience - Valid Driver’s License with no more than two (2) points on a driving record within a three (3) year period - Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) - Able to effectively use the Internet - Ability to understand and use I/O structure for technical troubleshooting purposes Summary If you are interested in applying for this exciting Field Service Technician position within the Service sector please apply for the role today!
