Barry Callebaut seeks diverse and passionate people who thrive in a dynamic environment, focused on continuous learning, living BC’s Values and of course loving chocolate.The Generalist, HR is responsible for driving the daily functions of the Human Resources department andenhancing the employee experience at the Brantford Manufacturing Facility. Key responsibilities include: • Create and support employee engagement programs to enhance the employee experience• Support leadership in HR policies, digital processes and employees questions and/or issues• Administer timecards and payroll changes and partner with the corporate payroll department• Assist employees with general benefit questions, enrollments of new employees, life events, pharmacy,and PTO• Administer LOA’s, STD’s, LTD’s and partner with the corporate benefits department• Manage the onboarding, orientation and paperwork for all new joiners• Maintain HRIS such as employee files, documents, etc.• Process off-boarding during exit interviews• Administer all internal promotions and lateral transfers• Assist in development and administration of HR policies• Collaborate with leadership and temporary agencies for temporary staffing needs• Conduct employee training as needed• Manage unemployment claims• Manage work related injury claims and collaborate with the EHS and insurance company• Participate and assist with implementation of safety initiatives and monthly safety meetings• Full life cycle of recruiting: (resume review, screens, scheduling interviews, conducting interviews, pre-employment background, drug testing, etc.)• Manage employee relations issues and escalate to Sr. Manager when sensitive subjects and or as needed• Drive training and development programs for site employees• Facilitate and educate employees on Workers Compensation, Short Term Disabilities and RTW programs• Assist in preparing monthly reports including KPIs and statistics• Participate in special projects as needed About you: • Associates degree in related field, required• Minimum (2) years’ working experience, required• Human Resources management certification, a plus• Working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now, preferred• Ability to work independently and multi-task, required• Excellent customer service skills, required• Must be able to handle sensitive HR information in a confidential and professional manner• Excellent communicate verbally and written• Ability to work in fast paced manufacturing environment, a plus• Ability to work effectively with both employees and managers and convey a positive and professional imageto applicants and employees• Proficient in MS Office, Intermediate level of Google Suite• Ability to work a flexible schedule• Ability to sit for long periods of time• Ability to walk and climb stairs throughout the manufacturing facility• Long periods of computer usage; finger dexterity and hand movement for use of keyboard and mouse,repetitive motion• Noise level in manufacturing facility can exceed .85 decibels What you can expect from Barry Callebaut: • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package• Generous PTO, plus your birthday off• Environment that welcomes workplace flexibility• An atmosphere where diversity is embraced, and inclusivity is second nature.
