<p>One of our food processing clients is looking for <b>Quality Assurance Supervisor </b>at <b>Brantford</b><b>, ON </b>location for their facility.</p> <p><b>Shift </b>- Days/Night</p> <p><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></p> <ul> <li> <p>Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure compliance with food safety standards, regulations, and company policies.</p> </li> <li> <p>Supervise the Quality Assurance system at the plant to ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements from corporate, CFIA/Canada, and FDA/USA, as applicable to customers.</p> </li> <li> <p>Conduct regular inspections of raw materials, production processes, and finished products to identify deviations from quality standards.</p> </li> <li> <p>Investigate and resolve quality issues, non-conformances, and customer complaints in a timely manner.</p> </li> <li> <p>Maintain accurate records of quality assurance activities, including test results, inspection reports, and corrective actions taken.</p> </li> <li> <p>Generate and update quality documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and specifications.</p> </li> <li> <p>Provide training to production staff on quality control procedures, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), and food safety principles.</p> </li> <li> <p>Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the organization through training, coaching, and performance feedback.</p> </li> <li> <p>Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure the quality and safety of incoming raw materials and ingredients.</p> </li> <li> <p>Conduct supplier audits and assessments to evaluate their compliance with quality standards and specifications.</p> </li> <li> <p>Stay updated on relevant food safety regulations, industry standards, and best practices.</p> </li> <li> <p>Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization to enhance product quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.</p> </li> <li> <p>Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) to address root causes of quality issues and prevent their recurrence.</p> </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><b>Qualifications and Skills:</b></p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or related field.</p> </li> <li> <p>Minimum 3 years of previous QA supervisory experience and proven ability to manage a high performing team.</p> </li> <li> <p>Previous experience in quality assurance or quality control roles in the food industry.</p> </li> <li> <p>Strong knowledge of food safety standards, GMP, HACCP, and regulatory requirements.</p> </li> <li> <p>Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.</p> </li> <li> <p>Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.</p> </li> <li> <p>Attention to detail and accuracy in conducting inspections and documenting quality data.</p> </li> <li> <p>Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.</p> </li> </ul> <div> </div>
