Description:
The District of Saanich is looking for Facility Hosts to meet and greet patrons at Braefoot Park Centre and G.R. Pearkes Recreation Centre. The Facility Host will monitor safe use of the facilities and provide a supportive role in emergency situations. Under the direction of a Recreation Programmer, the successful candidates will open and close facilities, welcome user groups to the buildings, ensure smooth transitions between user groups, assist with set-up of tables and chairs as needed, and other related duties as required.
Requirements include: completion of Grade 10; two months experience working in a public service capacity in a recreation facility; a satisfactory Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector check (PIC-VS); and Emergency First-Aid and CPR-C, as required.
The successful candidates will work varying shifts including evenings, weekends and nights (hours/shifts are subject to change).
