If so, Gordon Food Service could be the place for youThe Delivery Service Rep. will be responsible for covering delivery shifts out of Kamloops.Hours Of Work: ● Typically 40 hours/week, with the opportunity for overtime● Four (4) 10-hour days with 3 days off per week OR Three (3) 12-hour days with 4 days off per week● Shifts and Start Time:Schedule: 4 X 10 | Floater | Days or NightsWhat We Offer:Starting rate of $32.76, Eligible to go to a top rate of $38.26 per hour after completing 12 monthsPerformance incentives available after 3 monthsMedical, Dental, Prescription Drug, and EAP Benefits after 30 days of employmentFULL flex benefits programSteel toe boot reimbursementCompany matching RRSPProfit Sharing125-year, family-owned and operated company historyPay for performance incentive program after 3 monthsLocal routes --> guaranteed to be home every day!Family culture and advancement opportunitiesWhat We Require: Valid Class 1 driver’s license with a clean commercial driver’s abstractEligibility for bonding and transportation of dangerous goods (TDG) certification.Strong mechanical aptitude.Professional demeanour under stressful situations.Physically fit and able to repeatedly lift, stack, pull and carry heavy items (up to 80 lbs)Strong communication and customer service skills with English fluencyPrevious professional driving experience is preferredAbility to work in a variety of weather, temperature and road conditionsAbility to communicate effectively verbally and in writingAbility to work independently and in a team environmentMust be goal-oriented with a positive, “can do” attitudeThis position requires punctuality and attention to detailResponsibilities Include: Responsibilities include correctly offloading products, recording of delivery information, accepting payment for goods when required, and ensuring operational vehicle safety in all aspects.Providing exceptional service to build and maintain quality customer relationshipsManually sorting and unloading food products and hand-wheeling them into the customer locations with the use of ramps and occasionally stairs (approx. 600 - 1000 cases/shift)Operating straight trucks or trailers safely and professionally to transport goods and materials over urban, short inter-urban and rural routesConducting routine pre/post-trip truck inspections and maintaining accurate records of delivery routes, temperature logs, count sheets and incident reportingPerforming product delivery verification at the customer location and maintaining customer invoicesFollowing health and safety and safe work proceduresWe're a company with integrity at its core.
