Pitt Meadows Plumbing and Mechanical Systems (PMP) has been a leader in the plumbing and mechanical industry for over 40 years. We pride ourselves on being a family-owned and operated company. We specialize in pre-fabrication, modular systems and installation of large-scale residential, commercial, institutional, educational, and medical design-build plumbing and mechanical projects.

Our company is growing fast, and we are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic team player to join our team as a Mechanical Project Estimator . Reporting to the Director of Estimating & Procurement, the Mechanical Project Estimator will provide support by producing complete materials and labour estimates for projects.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Review project drawings and specifications to comprehend each project's mechanical scope clearly and comprehensively.
Identify and finish incomplete hydronic and plumbing piping scope on mechanical drawings.
Utilize on-screen takeoff software to create a comprehensive materials and labour estimate.
Maintain an estimating database.
Prepare estimating data reports.
Performs other duties as required.

Job requirements:

Strong knowledge of plumbing and hydronic design, industry equipment and systems.
A minimum of 4 years of experience as a plumber on a construction job site is required.
Completion of the Plumbing Apprenticeship Program is required. Red Seal Plumbing Certification is an asset.
Formal education in mechanical design or engineering is an asset.
Proficiency in construction software – specifically Quotesoft, BlueBeam and Revizto is a strong asset.
Knowledge and proficiency in AutoCAD is an asset.
Knowledge and proficiency with Revit are strong assets.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) is required.
Previous experience with Procore is an asset.

Compensation: $80,000 to $100,000/year + 5% RRSP + Full Benefits 100% Company-Paid + Life Insurance + LTD
