QUALIFICATIONS:Education, Training And Experience Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant; Recognized post-basic clinical education, such as chemotherapy certification, oncology nursing course preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and training; and Two (2) years' recent, related experience. Basic Life Support, Level CCertification in Oncology Nursing from The Canadian Nurses Associations (CNA) would be considered an asset.Skills And AbilitiesApply the nursing process.Demonstrate sound organizational, problem solving, and teaching skillsDemonstrate good judgement, observation and patient/client assessmentDemonstrate tact and empathyPrioritise and organise patient/client care needsOperate related equipmentWork as part of a multidisciplinary health care teamAssume in charge responsibilityFoster good public relationsCommunicate effectively, both verbally and in writingPhysically able to perform the duties of the position
