Position Title: Tandoori Line Cook

Location: Bollywood Bar & Lounge

Overview: Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Tandoori dishes according to recipes and standards set by the restaurant.
  • Marinate meats and seafood for Tandoori cooking, ensuring proper seasoning and flavor infusion.
  • Operate and maintain Tandoori oven equipment, ensuring optimal temperature and cleanliness.
  • Monitor food temperatures during cooking to ensure food safety and quality.
  • Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of Tandoori dishes.
  • Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of Tandoori ingredients and notifying management when supplies need to be replenished.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, following sanitation and safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef and Sous Chefs to develop new Tandoori recipes and menu items.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in Tandoori cooking techniques and procedures.
  • Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations, including HACCP guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Tandoori Cook or similar role in a high-volume restaurant.
  • In-depth knowledge of Indian cuisine, particularly Tandoori cooking techniques and spices.
  • Ability to operate Tandoori oven equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to quality standards.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Certification in food handling and sanitation (preferred).

Education :

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Culinary school diploma or certificate (preferred).

Job Types : Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $15.20 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
