Architectural Technologist

We are seeking an Architectural Technologist, for a full-time position in Moncton, NB.The selected candidate will possess proficiency with AutoCAD Architecture.In return for your talent and effort, Rimkus offers a dynamic organization with a competitive salary and benefits package, flexible work schedule and opportunities for advancement.Overview:In this position you will apply your technical knowledge to evaluate existing buildings and design solutions for the complex and unique problems of our clients. Projects will include a mix of residential, multi-family, and commercial projects, with an emphasis on repair of damage from fire, wind, flood, and impacts, as well as adaptive reuse of older buildings, and enhancements to existing facilities to accommodate changes in use and implementation of equipment and machinery. You must be able to manage several projects simultaneously and be detail orientated. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written are essential.Responsibilities: Preparation of CAD drawingsCollecting field data required for the preparation of repair specifications, drawings and tenderingAssisting in the preparation of technical specifications for exterior envelope remediation projectsReviewing shop drawingsCoordinating with engineers for peer reviews and design guidanceEnsuring work area is maintained in a clean and orderly manner and acts in compliance with the company safety policyPerform other related duties as required or assigned by direct manager and/or other department managers Requirements & Qualifications Post-secondary diploma from an Architectural Technology (or related) programExceptional attention to detail, specifically in accuracy of calculations and completeness of data collection and notationExcellent oral and written communication skillsFrench and English (verbal / written) is a PLUS.Must have a valid driver's license and access to a vehicleWillingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing prioritiesSelf-motivating and multi-tasking abilityAble to work individually and in a team setting3 to 5 years of similar experience in a similar capacity, including large flat roof projects; must be in the field 70-80% of the time.
