Description SummarySunbelt Rentals – the fastest growing rental business in Canada– is seeking a Senior Equipment Rental Specialist/dispatcher– You!The Senior Equipment Rental Specialist/dispatcher is an inside sales role responsible for supporting telephone and walk-in customers with rentals of all types of construction/industrial equipment. This position is considered the Company’s front line of contact with the customer, whose purpose is to understand customer equipment needs, negotiate and place orders. The role also requires strong administrative skills and an ability to always deliver customer satisfaction through a professional attitude. Our double-digit growth and internal promotion rate mean we are constantly looking to add top performers to our team.This position will also be responsible for dispatching drivers.Position Responsibilities:Determines/understands customer equipment needs through questioning and qualifying; provides alternative equipment suggestions to customersNegotiates price and volume of original orders by maximizing rate and volumePlaces high volumes of equipment orders by obtaining customer informationSecures equipment by checking availability of equipment with shopProvides adequate notice to Dispatch and Service Departments for upcoming equipment requirementsAdministers rental contracts (new and existing) including on and off rental dates, rates and all ancillary charges, amendments, suspensionsHandles customer complaints in a professional manner in order to resolve the complaint to the satisfaction of the customer and Sunbelt RentalsReviews daily management reports and provides regular feedback to Profit Center Manager regarding fleet and merchandise inventory, as well as pricingParticipates in After Hours and Emergency Response efforts including local and regional responses as well as participation in national event response effortsDispatch Duties:Will manage Drivers to ensure prompt receipt and delivery of equipment from/to customers. Responsible for overseeing the application of appropriate DOT standards.
