Access to Office Administration as well as a team of experienced Kinesiologists and Rehab Assistants Technology and systems that support OT practice as well as clinical resources available Room for growth into medical legal consultation Symmetry Injury Rehabilitation Ltd. is looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic and experienced team of private practice rehab professionals!  We provide our OTs with valuable mentorship, growth, and exceptional opportunities to resource a network of therapists.  The position will be providing community / home based assessment and rehabilitation services throughout Vancouver Island North, with an interesting and varied caseload. Our Occupational Therapists assist clients in recovering from a wide variety of injuries.  These may include soft tissue and musculoskeletal injuries, traumatic brain injuries, or mental health disorders.  Our goal with each client is always to restore function and foster independence, in order to assist them with resuming activities of their daily lives.  We help clients to realize their potential for productive lives, to the best of their abilities. The Occupational Therapists’ caseload may contain a mixture of case management, hospital discharge coordination, home safety / support assessments, home modifications / environmental assessment and consultation, return to work intervention, coordination of rehabilitation programs, brain injury rehabilitation, community reintegration. The Occupational Therapist would often work as part of a multidisciplinary team, liaising with Rehabilitation Coordinators, Adjustors, Doctors, Physiotherapists, Kinesiologists, Rehabilitative Assistants, Counselors / Psychologists, and Vocational Consultants.  The Occupational Therapist should be self-directed and possess strong interpersonal skills.
