Job Purpose

The Structural Project Coordinator is a critical member of the project team. The Structural Project Coordinator is responsible for the accurate and timely completion of a variety of administrative tasks required to support the needs of the project teams, vendors and subcontractors.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Solicits assignments from the project manager regularly to ensure proper work distribution

  • Participates in project kick-off meetings as directed to ensure that all departments are aware of project requirements and have input to the successful execution of the project and that all records of meetings are maintained

  • Sets-up and maintain project management files in accordance with departmental standards. Exercises due diligence in managing customer changes:

  • Identify changes by reviewing all IFC drawings, drawing revisions, and customer requests

  • Manage contract change costs through system and invoice costs in a timely manner

  • Coordinate drafting of fabrication drawings

  • Create and manage the regular maintenance of Spool Tracker amongst all departments

  • Coordinate with Quality Control department to ensure timely submission of Quality documents

  • Ensures that customer acceptance of contract values, budget values, change values are in place to facilitate timely billing of all costs

  • Prepares, maintains, updates project schedules in conjunction with drafting & production department scheduling

  • Reviews all incoming customer drawings, assign division, Change Order Requests (CORs), if applicable, and confirm schedule

  • Manages collection and submission of COR costs on an ongoing basis

  • Trouble shoots day to day project issues as directed by the PM

  • Attends production meeting on project managers behalf

  • Compiles data, maintains, and approves project invoicing process on a timely basis

  • Performs management of minor contract agreements as directed by the Project Manager (Monthly reporting and financial responsibility are ultimately the responsibility of the Project Manager)

  • Contributes to subcontract vendor management as directed:

  • Budget development in line with corporate goals

  • Scope listing and control

  • PO creation and change management

  • Schedule adherence

  • information transfer and control

Requirements : Qualifications :

  • Post-secondary education is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of structural fabrication
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Project Construction
  • PMP certificate would be an asset

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Very strong analytical, attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional organization and time management skills
  • Advanced Excel and spreadsheet skills

Salary : $73,000.00-$88,000.00 per year
