Position Requirements : Wellspring Support is a CARF-accredited organization providing community inclusion and semi-independent living supports for adults with diverse abilities. We offer comprehensive programs tailored to fit the individual needs of our participants, including providing support with mobility, individualized communication, and personal care.

As a Community Support Worker for Wellspring Support, you will follow the direction of the Director of Operations.

We are currently hiring for a variety of afternoon/evening positions working in a community setting. The position requires a valid Class 5 driver's license and the ability to use your own personal car for work.

Qualifications :

  • Grade 12
  • Emergency First Aid Certification with CPR “C” designation
  • BC Criminal Records Review Program Clearance
  • Experience an asset, but willing to train
  • Class 5 BCDL, prefer Class 4
  • As mandated by the order of the PHO, you must be fully vaccinated

Skills :

  • Willingness to participate in scheduled activities such as swimming, hiking, music therapy, pet therapy
  • Experience with lifts and transfers
  • Medication administration training
  • Familiarity with American Sign Language

Abilities :

  • Physical ability to complete the duties of the position
  • Ability to follow written protocols, policies and procedures
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to communicate effectively with non-standard communication techniques
  • Ability to be an advocate
  • Ability to operate related equipment (lifts, lift equipped van)

  • Sanitizing, disinfecting, or cleaning procedures in place

Part-time hours: up to 30 hours per week

Job Types : Full-time, Part-time, Casual, Permanent

Salary : $18.00+ per hour

COVID-19 considerations: All visitors and staff are required to wear masks, have both sets of vaccinations, and sanitizing occurs regularly throughout the day

Salary : $19.00-$21.00 per hour
