Position Requirements : Wellspring Support is a CARF-accredited organization providing community inclusion and semi-independent living supports for adults with diverse abilities. As a Community Support Worker for Wellspring Support, you will follow the direction of the Director of Operations.
We are currently hiring for a variety of afternoon/evening positions working in a community setting. The position requires a valid Class 5 driver's license and the ability to use your own personal car for work.
Qualifications :
- Grade 12
- Emergency First Aid Certification with CPR “C” designation
- BC Criminal Records Review Program Clearance
- Experience an asset, but willing to train
- Class 5 BCDL, prefer Class 4
- As mandated by the order of the PHO, you must be fully vaccinated
Skills :
- Willingness to participate in scheduled activities such as swimming, hiking, music therapy, pet therapy
- Experience with lifts and transfers
- Medication administration training
- Familiarity with American Sign Language
Abilities :
- Physical ability to complete the duties of the position
- Ability to follow written protocols, policies and procedures
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
- Ability to communicate effectively with non-standard communication techniques
- Ability to be an advocate
- Ability to operate related equipment (lifts, lift equipped van)
