Reporting directly to the Vice President, Operations and Supply Chain, the successful candidate will be entrusted with pivotal responsibilities, including upholding our robust safety culture and ensuring seamless compliance with our shipping and receiving activities.As a Regional Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day to day operating, maintenance and environmental compliance while ensuring that the facilities are operated in a safe, reliable, and cost-effective manner. The ROM uses leadership skills to create and promote an environment where employees are engaged, empowered and committed to the success of the company. The ROM will also be responsible for training, developing and managing operations employees by monitoring individual performance through clearly defined expectations, training, coaching and counseling. As the "Front End Support" for the Supply Chain team, you will play a pivotal role in navigating larger and more complex corporate change initiatives. Collaborating seamlessly with various departments including sales, finance, and operations, this position operates cross-functionally across the entire organization. Our employees are professional and passionate about our business.What would be your main responsibilities as a Regional Operations Manager? : Leadership  Manage, guide and lead an Operations Team and a Project & Maintenance Manager providing motivation and ensuring a strong culture of safety and growthManage performance, assess and evaluate the team, making sure issues are dealt with promptly in a professional manner in line with Quadra’s policies, procedures and core valuesSetting and communicating clear goals and objectives for the team based on the Company’s strategic and long-term plan; making sure that the team’s effort is concurring with Quadra’s vision of growthResponsibility for overall service level, productivity and cost; measure and monitor service levels, productivity parameters through established KPI’sCreate, maintain and foster a safety culture where everyone actively contributes to identifying and mitigating potential risksResponsible for the initial evaluation as well as ongoing efficient management and cost control of all outside service providers (outside warehouses, satellites, third party warehouses, etc.) in the region. With collaboration of the Logistics teams, ensure accuracy of inventories, to develop and maintain good relations with these service providers and that all applicable contracts are maintained and currentResponsible to develop the overall financial budget for the Delta and Vista facility, to ensure overall cost containment, and to meet corporate expense initiativesWork closely with the Commercial team and Senior Business Leaders, to optimize business and sales objectives for the Company. Become a partner of choice and demonstrate excellent business acumen to support numerous commercial key projects in Canada and the United States.Collaborate with Regional Operations Managers and the Supply Chain Project Manager to spearhead significant capital operations projects. Provide leadership and coordination to ensure successful project execution aligned with organizational goals Operations, Safety and Environment Responsible to ensure the safe handling of chemical products, adhering to the Responsible Distribution Code of practice and all local, provincial, federal regulations Monitor and maintain a policy of zero tolerance for shipping/ receiving errors, ensure inventory accuracy, as well as compliance with FIFO initiatives. Work in co-operation with other departments to efficiently manage old inventories. Meet yearly objectives on inventory accuracy and managementResponsible to ensure compliance with all quality programs (ISO, GDP, BRC, RD, COR etc..) initiatives, policies and procedures, internal and external audits to ensure successful qualification within the region Ensure all health, safety and environmental incidents are recorded, complete with an analysis as to the root cause and the actions taken to ensure there are no repeats. Liaison with the Risk and Regulatory Affairs Manager, ensuring compliance and adherence to all initiatives, policies and procedures.Lead the Local Emergency Response Committee, including periodic drills, tabletop exercises, training and information sessions to ensure all understand their roles and responsibilitiesResponsible to ensure site inspections for new bulk customers, and re-audit where necessary, to ensure they comply with Responsible Distribution code of practice as well as EH&SWork with local emergency responders and service providers to insure alignment with Quadra’s safety vision and local requirementsEnsure capabilities meet or exceed industry and customer requirements for cost, quality and responsivenessEnsure that all damaged goods are reported, complete with an investigation and actions to minimize the chance of repeatsEnsure all SLIP’s including incident/accident reports relating to the branch areas of responsibility are responded to promptly, complete with an investigation and actions to eliminate the chance of repeatsLead, initiate and assess space/racking optimization and other efficiency improvements, within the Delta and Vista operations Continuous Improvement / Process Improvement Proactively seek opportunities for enhancing operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Conduct comprehensive analyses of existing processes and identify areas for improvement, contributing to the overall optimization of business operationsAct as a bridge between different departments, ensuring smooth communication and collaborationDemonstrate proficiency in identifying potential risks and formulating strategic mitigation strategiesLead and coordinate continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain, employing methodologies such as Lean, NPP, Kaizen events, among others. Drive a culture of continuous enhancement to achieve operational excellenceImplement and oversee the standardization of operating processes and procedures at branch levelsEnsure consistency and adherence to established standards, promoting efficiency and qualityRepresent and support Supply Chain and Operations in Change Management initiatives as needed. Contribute to the successful integration of changes, aligning processes with evolving business requirementUndertake additional projects as assigned by the Vice President, Supply Chain and Operations What are the requirements needed to have success in this role ? :  Completed post-secondary level education in related field. Preference given to chemical or mechanical engineer degreeMinimum of 10 years of proven leadership, management and team building experience in an operations environmentMinimum 10 years chemical operations experience in the handling of bulk chemicals, managing warehouses in essentialProven experience of minimum 10 years in logistics, distribution and third-party warehouse managementDemonstrated leadership qualities, able to engage, influence team and external partnersYou must have a strong knowledge of WHMIS, TDG, HACCP, GMP, GDP and BRC Storage and Distribution AwarenessExcellent skills working in an advanced IT systems environment (ERP systems, E1 Oracle, MS Office, Salesforce, Transportation Management System, etc.)Demonstrated proficiency in communication, organization and interpersonal skillsCommitment to customer satisfaction with a solid understanding of Total Quality Management (TQM), Continuous Improvement and Quality Assurance principlesContinuous improvement expertise: Familiarity of continuous improvement programs and standards, including LEAN and Six SigmaProven expertise in Project Management with a preference for a candidate holding a PMP Certification. Basic knowledge of project management methodologies are essential Ability to establish and nurture effective relationships with customers (internal & external), clients, suppliers and stake holders; customer site assessments and inspection experience is neededTrack record of managing and promoting a safe work environment, reflecting a commitment to safety best practicesProficiency in managing projects within budgetary constraints, ensuring efficient resource allocationPreferred experience in emergency response training and incident command proceduresProven knowledge and familiarity with the following standards, but not limited to: OHSA, CSA, HRA, ISO, CORExperience in tank farm operations, rail yard management, and familiarity with Emergency Response Assistance Plans (ERAP) are considered strong assets Working Conditions : Travel Commitment: Demonstrated willingness to travel, with up to 25% of the time involving overnight stays. British-Columbia Applicants: The annual base pay range for this position is reasonably expected to be $110, to $150, Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, education and experience.
