YMCA Staff Membership Business Casual Dress Employee Assistance Program Be part of a charitable organization that positively impacts the community Nature & Scope: Reporting into the Manager, Administration, the child care registrar will play a pivotal role in YMCA BC’s Children and Youth Services team. This position will be the first point of contact and provide administrative support to the team. The childcare registrar will be working in a fast- paced dynamic environment, dealing with high volume calls and emails. This role will ensure programs are registered to budget targets and waitlists are maintained in a way that ensures efficiencies and transparency in our services. Major Responsibilities:Responsible for the registration of over 5,000+ child care spaces within YMCA BC.Coordinating and updating daily waitlists and extending child spaces for Licensed YMCA Child Care & Kids Club programs, YMCA Leagues, YMCA Day Camp and YMCA Camp Elphinstone as neededResponsible for updating program withdrawal, changes and templates as needRespond to daily enquires by Parents and guardians in a professional and timely manner. Ensure family and 3rd party accounts are in good standingOccasional front desk coverage; welcome visitors, answer or refer inquiries as neededBe an engaged and integral part of a cohesive administrative team, working to achieve the mission of YMCA BCBuild and maintain positive relationships with families, key stakeholders including community agencies and other groupsSupport account Administration team with account adjustments, split billings, refunds, invoicing, reconciliation and other administrative tasks.Additional administrative projects and duties as assignedProvide ratio support in YMCA Kids Club programsQualifications/Experience:A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience providing administrative support in a fast paced office environmentEffective oral and written communication skillsAbility to type quickly and accurately in multiple programsAbility to be flexible, adaptable and multi-task in high demand environmentDemonstrated ability to make sound judgments and decisions; effective prioritizing and problem solving skillWell-developed interpersonal skillsComputer proficient – Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Office365High degree of independence and initiative within a team environmentExperience and sensitivity in dealing with members of different cultural and racial backgrounds, including visible and invisible dimensions of diversityFirst Aid/CPR Certificate is an assetSuccessful candidates will be required to provide a current and satisfactory Criminal ReferenceCheck/Vulnerable Sector Search issued no later than six (6) months preceding your start dateYMCA BC is committed to creating an inclusive, accessible environment where all members of our community feel valued, respected, and supported.
