Your opportunity at ARC’TERYX:As Senior Director, Data & Analytics you are responsible for leading the implementation and development of the organization's data platform, data management, governance, and analytics initiatives. This role oversees the development and implementation of data strategies that support critical business decisions, enhance operations and drive innovation. You will ensure that our data assets are leveraged effectively and spearhead the use of analytical insights to create business value across the enterprise. This role requires a visionary leader, someone that can navigate this complex landscape, ensure that our data is AI ready, and foster a culture of data-driven decision-making.Meet your future team:Working alongside a strong team of IT professionals, you lead the Data Platform team, and the Data Products team. These teams are made up of local employees, remote employees, and offshore contractors. You also partner with the Business Technology Team leads to ensure business needs are met.If you were the Senior Director, Data and Analytics now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing: You are accountable to develop, execute, and champion a comprehensive data strategy aligned with the organizational goalsYou are accountable for the enterprise Data Platform and Analytics team, creating and maintaining our enterprise Data PlatformYou are accountable for the data products provided to the enterpriseYou ensure the integrity, availability, and accuracy of data through effective data management practicesOversee the implementation and management of data governance. data policies, data compliance, and data standardsLeveraging our PMO framework, you collaborate with other functions to identify and prioritize data and analytics needsYou work with departmental leaders to align their multi-year roadmaps, annual objectives, and key results with Arc'teryx data strategy and top-down demand prioritizationYou drive the adoption of data analytics and business intelligence tools that support data driving decision-makingYou champion the use of predictive analytics, machine learning and AI ensuring that the data is in a usable state for these technologies, and lead to achieving business outcomesYou manage and maintain the budget, resources, and vendor relationships related to data and analyticsYou care passionately about the health and wellbeing of your team, ensuring career progression, training and growth options are well communicatedYou provide executive-level reporting on the state of data and analytics initiatives, and their impact on businessYou stay up to data on industry trends, and advancements on data technology to maintain a competitive edgeAre you our next Senior Director, Data and Analytics? You have 10+ years of experience in a leadership role, managing senior cross-functional teams, and interacting with various business strategiesYou have experience in vertical DTC companies within Data & Analytics, building critical components that make up the data landscape, including advanced analytics and within the public sectorYou have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field or equivalent experienceYou have 5 years’ experience working in the retail industry, with a preference for outdoor companiesYou have proven experience in implementing major programs including data platforms, data science programs, data management programsYou have experience with the Microsoft stack of tools, including Azure data platform, Databricks, Power BIYou have knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to data privacy and protectionYou possess proven Agile project management skillsYou are an excellent communicator and can engage and influence stakeholders at all levelsYou can balance autonomy and collaborationYou inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvementYou seek the best (but sometimes not the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitmentYour passion for your work is paralleled by your passion for getting outside and living it$176,000 - $220,000 a yearA reasonable estimate of the pay range is CAD$176,000 - CAD$220,000 at the time of this posting.
