Summary Slegg Building Materials is currently seeking a Full-Time Door & Windows Sales team member. The annual salary is $50,000, plus commission and benefits.Benefits Extended health care - drug and dental coverage, practitioners, disability, and life insuranceAfter 3 months of service, staff can participate in the RSP program with contribution matchingAn exclusive employee stock purchase planCompany discounts on all products sold at Slegg Building MaterialsMonthly breakfast or lunch events for our staffEmployee referral bonus programTraining and advancement optionsAll employees immediate family members are eligible for an annual scholarship programSecure vehicle and bike parking The ResponsibilitiesIncluding but not limited to the following: Respect and obey safety policies and procedures in our yard and on jobsitesWork in partnership with Outside Contract Sales TeamProvide superior customer serviceReview Building Links, leads sheets, and attend Sales Team Meetings to follow sales opportunitiesTake pride in your work environment keeping your desk area clean and presentableGreet and assist customers with purchases, provide suggestions and recommendations on products and materialsProvide project quotes, enter delivery orders/special orders and assist in purchasingBuild strong customer relationships through reliable call backs, follow up on deliveries, and awareness of project timeline to foresee material needsBe a source of information and continue to increase knowledge with interior, exterior, commercial doors, mouldings, windows and garage doorsGeneral housekeeping duties and general stocking of merchandise as required in store and warehouseCommunicate with the shipping department to ensure delivery schedules and instructions are metParticipate in quarterly weekend inventory countsOther duties as assigned by management The Requirements A broad knowledge of commercial doors, windows and hardware is an assetOne or all of the AHC, CDC or EHC professional certifications is an assetDetail orientated with disciplined work habitsMinimum two years sales experience is an assetEffective communication skills and ability to read, write, and speak in EnglishStrong computer skills- Microsoft based-Outlook, Word, ExcelCustomer-service focusedAbility to work in a fast-paced environment The Location - Door Shop, 1210 Chidlow Connector Rd.Our Langford Store and Door Shop are conveniently located on a major transit route just off of Sooke Road past the Luxton Fairgrounds. The Door Shop provides the production team with state-of-the-art equipment for manufacturing interior and exterior residential and commercial doors.
