Position Title: Meat Cutter Location: Saanichton, B.C V8M 1Z7 Rate of Pay: Starting minimum $19/Hour Job Type: Full Time Permanent Position Summary: Reporting to the Production Manager, the Meat Cutter will be accountable for the processing and production of Beef, Pork and Lamb products. Key Responsibilities: - Cut product to our specifications and premium standards while maintaining and upkeeping safety standards. - Ensure the quality of the received product is up to standard and dates are correct before processing. - Package products to customer specifications. - Ensure tools and equipment are sterilized prior to the end of the shift to fulfill food safety requirements. - Ensure proper weight, description, and date is recorded on the products label. - Other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Skills: - Willingness to work with raw meat products. - Willingness to work in a cold environment. - Ability to perform physical tasks requiring lifting, carrying, and moving objects weighing 30+ lbs. safely and effectively. - Physical fitness and stamina to sustain prolonged periods of activity, repetitive movements, and manual labor. - Previous work experience is an asset but not required. - Training will be provided. - Commitment to safety standards and practices.
