A global manufacturer in Maple Ridge is looking for a shop helper to join our growing team. Tsubaki is undertaking a significant modernization, by adding CNC equipment, to improve our manufacturing capabilities in British Columbia. The facility is in the Ruskin area of Maple Ridge BC. Summary: The ability to help as needed in a manufacturing environment is the key to this role. You will take direction from senior employees who require help in the various manufacturing departments.  Forklift use (certification will be provided) and the ability to complete a crane certification course are also necessary. The ideal candidate will be able to also take on some of the painting duties of our inventory. We are expanding and modernizing our facility, this is a great opportunity to improve your skills and experience. The right candidate will be able to expand this role into an apprenticeship with Tsubaki. Required Skills: Clean machinery and facility. Paint finished product prior to shipping. Operate a forklift (certification and training can be provided). Set up and operate horizontal and vertical bandsaws (training will be provided). Fluent in English both verbal and written. Clean and organized. Ideal Skills: Use a paint booth and spray equipment. Adopt and adapt to a 5S environment. Identify areas that require cleaning and organizational improvement.
