We are passionate about food that is good and good for you!Our Que Pasa Foods facility, located in Delta, is expanding and is looking for a fulltime Maintenance Technician to join our amazing team. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing daily tasks maintaining equipment in the Factory in order to ensure that production continues in a safe and efficient manner. The Technician must be familiar or have knowledge of Electrical control on production equipment, and able to support the department of all its responsibilities including, but not limited to, any building maintenance, stone grinding and general clean up.Schedule Must be on shift rotation as per production requirementsMust be available to work any day in a week including the weekends, holidays and emergenciesMust have reliable transportation due to limited bus routes on the weekends Benefits Company-paid extended health benefits coverage (medical, dental & vision)Life Insurance, AD&D, and Long-Term DisabilityRRSP Matching programPaid VacationPaid Sick DaysWellness Programs & IncentivesDiscounts on productsReferral Bonus"Green My Ride" Carpool & Vehicle Incentives Duties & Responsibilities Basic understanding of OSHA and safety proceduresTechnical understanding of the operation of the equipment and machineryPreventative maintenance on equipment as assigned safely and report unsafe conditionsTroubleshoot/repair equipment when called, and address root causeNew equipment installation/commissioningMaintain high level of cleanliness and organization in the Maintenance ShopRequires standing, walking, reaching and bending for multiple periods of time and ability to lift up to 30 lbs in a safe mannerElectrical/ Mechanical/ Pneumatic and Hydraulic trouble shooting.Other assigned duties Requirements and Qualifications  Preferred experience in equipment maintenance and plant operationsPreferred in a food manufacturing environment.High school diploma, or GED, or technical program or Trade certificationMust be familiar or have knowledge of electrical control on production equipment.Certified Industrial Millwright/ Industrial Electrician/ Electrical engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/ Power Engineer with electrical and mechanical skillsExperience reading diagrams and schematic drawings, PLC, VFD and relay logic.Has Tig welding skills or willing to learn.Basic metal fabrication skills.Has a positive attitude with a team player mindsetDemonstrates performance driven to meet target outputs and deadlinesHard working, reliable independent and self-motivatedHas the ability to work efficiently and in a high-paced environmentMaintains excellent attendance recordSteel toed shoes are required.Basic Hand and power tools required.Willing to work on any shift as plant requirements, including weekends Qualifications Behaviors Preferred Dedicated: Devoted to a task or purpose with loyalty or integrity Loyal: Shows firm and constant support to a cause Team Player: Works well as a member of a group Motivations Preferred Self-Starter: Inspired to perform without outside help Flexibility: Inspired to perform well when granted the ability to set your own schedule and goals Salary: $36-$41 hourly rate
