Job Description REGISTERED PRACTICAL NURSE (24-R22) Bargaining Unit: UNIFOR-HOSPStatus: Full Time Site: Balmoral CentreShifts: Days/Evenings/Nights including weekends Rate of Pay: $33.46 - $35.97 per hour Qualifications:- Certificate of Registration with the Ontario College of Nurses- Current CPR- Recent physical assessment and pharmacology courses- Demonstrated knowledge of concurrent disorders- Must have 1 to 2 years experience in mental health and addictions- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal- Demonstrated knowledge and ability to administer CIWA and COWS assessments- Demonstrated knowledge of community agencies and pharmacies including Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre- Current training in administering Suboxone- Demonstrated experience working within a collaborative practice model of care- Demonstrated regular attendance at work CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENTThis position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.Offers of employment made to external candidates are conditional upon providing proof of COVID-19 vaccination as per the or proof of valid medical exemption, prior to the offered effective date.
