The HCA Clinical Instructor must understand Sprott Shaw’s HCA Program goals and/or outcomes, the learning goals and outcomes for all training (including the requirements for clinical), the policy/procedures for each facility that the students will be attending during clinical training and be able to coordinate them all into a successful learning experience._ Responsibilities - Instructs curriculum using pre-authorized or Sprott Shaw materials - Contribute to curriculum maintenance - Administer assessments and grade student work - Attend faculty meetings, in-service training sessions, program and college activities - Supervising students during clinical placements, as needed Qualifications and Education - Current practicing license as an LPN, RN or RPN with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) - Two (2) years of full-time nursing experience Skills - Knowledge of MS Office and database systems - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Competencies - Communication - Leadership - Service orientation - Planning and organizing - Accountability - Teamwork - Network and relationship building _What We Offer_ - _Reimbursement of practicing license or professional association membership fees_ - _Education and training allowance_ - _Tuition discount for spouse and children_ - _Comprehensive extended health benefits_ - _Disability and life insurance_ - _RRSP matching_ - _Employee and Family Assistance Program_ - 10 hour shift - Morning shift Experience: - Nursing: 2 years (required) Licence/Certification: - BCCNM registration (required) Work Location: In person
