Electronics Engineer/Product Designer

We seek an experienced P.Engg in Electronics engineering/design with a passion and perseverance for all aspects of product design, engineering, and prototyping to join our team!

Note: P.Engg licensed in Canada will ONLY be considered for this role.

You will lead product development and support various research and development activities in this role. You will design, prototype, and test digital and analog circuits, draw schematics and layout PCBs. You will troubleshoot commercial systems at circuit and system levels. You are familiar with the main circuits used in both analog and digital systems. You are conversant with the technologies and components of the last 20 years and stay up to date with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies.

Role Responsibilities

As an Electronics Engineer/ Designer reporting to the CEO, you will:

  • plan and execute product design, testing, and prototyping of industrial circuit boards.
  • manage and coordinate internal and external resources necessary for product design, testing, and prototyping.
  • craft and successfully execute robust and well-choreographed project plans.
  • use qualitative and quantitative research methods to draw out customer and end-user needs.
  • support the sales team in the creation of new project work orders, resource planning, pricing, and client presentations as well as external funding applications.
  • identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
  • prepare the PPMP required for the practice of engineering.
  • perform other relevant duties as may be assigned.

Assets, not requirements:

  • design experience across multiple industries with experience in designing fire suppression system panels.
  • experience in an ISO 09001 quality management environment.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree (required)

License/Certification:

  • Professional Engineer Registration (required). P.Engg licensed in Canada will ONLY be considered for this role.
