Pinchin is seeking a Project Technologist to join our Building Science & Sustainability team in our Richmond, BC Office.Our Building Science group provides integrated solutions to residential, institutional, industrial and commercial clients who require reliable and cost-effective systems in both new and retrofit facilities. The combined skills of our engineers, architects, technicians and support personnel with their diverse backgrounds in design, project management, and construction provide clients with a team recognized as leaders in the field.The successful candidate will demonstrate sound knowledge and understanding of building systems including general knowledge of structure, building enclosures, mechanical and electrical systems, roofing systems, interior elements, site features, etc. A Day in the life of a Project Technologist at Pinchin: Conduct investigations and assessments to determine condition of various building element and write technical reports of findings, summarizing, collating and interpreting the results of field data. You will be working with the BSS team on services and strategies such as:Property Condition AssessmentsBuilding InvestigationsReserve Fund StudiesTechnical report writingLiaising with clients and contractorsPreparing proposalsBusiness development with existing and new clientsWhat you bring to the Pinchin team:Degree/Diploma in Building Science/Architectural Technology or equivalent experienceSound construction knowledgeGood communication skills and command on technical terms is a mustExperience conducting Baseline Property Condition Assessments in accordance with the ASTM Standard E 2018-15 "Standard Guide for Property Condition Assessments" would be an assetCommercial Building Inspector experience would be an asset Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook)Ability to safely transport and carry 20-foot extension or folding ladder, hand tools and PPE is requiredValid driver’s license, insurance & personal vehicle required (work related travel expenses will be compensated)Availability to travelWhat’s in it for you: Of course, we offer competitive salaries and great benefits, but what makes Pinchin stand out from the crowd?
