POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a People & Culture Coordinator to join our team. Your primary responsibilities will include coordinating P&C activities, managing employee records, supporting recruitment processes, and ensuring compliance with ESA regulations. The ideal candidate will embody a can-do attitude and is willing to go the extra mile to get the job done. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Operations

  • Administer P&C policies and procedures, including employee handbook updates, policy and compliance dissemination, creating/up keeping SOP’s, workflow charts, contact, birthday, anniversary lists, onboarding materials, benefits, employee orientations as needed
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and ensuring confidentiality and security of employee data in compliance with the Personal Information and Protection Act (PIPA)
  • Prepare P&C-related documents including: surveys, leaves administration, immigration materials, employment contracts, offer letters, and termination notices
  • Ensure managers are following performance management guidelines including tracking progressive discipline and annual performance appraisals
  • Assist in planning and executing staff social events
  • Support and maintain programs including our Reward and Recognition, Employee Recognition Fund (ERF), Long Service Awards, and Social Committees
  • Communicate with staff on Club initiatives and changes using internal communication channels
  • Attend monthly Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) Committee meetings
  • Additional duties and projects as assigned

Recruitment

  • Responsible for recruitment efforts related with hiring events, reviewing and updating job descriptions, posting job openings, reviewing resumes, scheduling interviews, conducting candidate screenings, participate in interviews as needed, and providing TBNT communication to unsuccessful candidates
  • Coordinate with hiring managers to facilitate smooth onboarding processes including orientations, training maps, and tours

Training & Development

  • Coordinate learning and development workshops and various P&C related events (online and in-person)
  • Collaborate with departments to identify training needs and develop relevant initiatives

Employee Relations

  • Provide support with processes surrounding performance management, annual performance appraisals, investigations and documenting outcomes, stay interviews, and exit interviews
  • Serve as a resource for employees regarding P&C policies, procedures, and workplace issues.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • This position operates 100% on-site
  • Occasional evenings or weekend work may be required during peak periods or special events
  • Own transportation is an asset as public transportation is not frequent to/from the Club

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Post-secondary credentials in Human Resources Management or related field
  • 2+ years experience in an HR/P&C Coordinator, Administrator, or Generalist capacity
  • Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and regulations
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data management
  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in MS Office, G-Suite and HRIS software
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, handle sensitive information with discretion, work autonomously and be a self-starter
  • You agree to obtain a Criminal Record Check with a vulnerable sector search at your local Police Department immediately upon being hired

SALARY RANGE:

$50,000 - $60,000 per annum
