Job overview : Tudor Manor is looking for the next great addition to our team! The Housekeeping/Laundry Aide provides housekeeping and personal laundry services to our residents. This person will be responsible for ensuring the Manor and resident suites/rooms are cleaned thoroughly and according to departmental guidelines on a regularly scheduled basis to ensure resident safety, health and quality housekeeping services are maintained.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Performing daily cleaning duties, keeping record of planned cleaning and sign off when completed, using chemicals according to written protocol.
  • Wash, fold, sort, distribute and stock all linen and resident personal clothing according to existing procedures.
  • Operate washer, dryer and other equipment as required in the laundering process.
  • Perform other duties as determined by the Supervisor.

Qualifications : The Housekeeping/Laundry Aide must demonstrate:

  • Ability to communicate in English, verbal and written.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently.

Required education and experience :

  • Equivalent of Grade 10
  • Previous housekeeping experience is an asset
