HVAC Technician (TRAVEL REQUIRED)

Jetson is on a mission to accelerate the transition of 100M homes across North America away from burning fossil fuels to sustainable energy use. Homes are one of the largest sources of carbon emissions, which can be dramatically reduced by converting to heat pumps, however, adoption lags due to high cost and friction in the retrofit process today. Solving one layer of the value chain won't move the needle on adoption. Mass adoption will come when it becomes a no-brainer for homeowners to transition. That is why Jetson is building the first fully vertically integrated home electrification company. We are looking for extremely motivated and passionate HVAC technicians who would like to be a part of an exciting new company looking to fight climate change through disrupting the residential HVAC industry. As our first install crew, we are looking for individuals with deep install experience to help us prototype processes and procedures that we will be implementing across North America. You will be responsible for removing gas furnaces and installing heat pump systems, and collaborating with engineering teams on how the product can be improved and the install process streamlined. Inspect and perform maintenance on existing HVAC systems Diagnose and repair HVAC system issues Test HVAC systems to ensure proper functionality Follow blueprints, schematics, and building codes when installing or repairing systems Collaborate with other technicians and engineering teams on the product and processes Proven experience as an HVAC Technician or similar role HVAC/R Red Seal (preferred), but also open to apprentices Gas Fitter B (preferred), but also open to apprentices Strong knowledge of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems Familiarity with building codes and regulations Physical stamina to lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions Job Type: Full-time, guaranteed hours Pay: $45.00 per hour + $5,000 bonus Schedule: Monday to Friday Benefits: Dental care Extended health care Vision care Education Support Free Lunch Work Location: In person
