Position Title: CCRR ConsultantLocation: YMCA Child Care Resource & Referral Centres (Burnaby, with some shifts at Tri-Cities/ New Westminster offices as required)Terms Temporary, Full-Time (February 2025)The CCRR is funded by the Ministry of Children and Family Development on contract. Shift: 35 hours per week; some weekends and evenings required per program needsStart Date: As soon as possibleEnd Date: February, 2025, possibility for extensionSalary: $49,000 - $51,000 including benefits Reports to: CCRR Program SupervisorSituation:Under the direction of the CCRR Program, the CCRR Consultant will implement and ensure the delivery of CCRR services in the communities of New Westminster, Burnaby, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, Anmore and Belcarra.Responsibilities:Provide strong customer services and support to those individuals and organizations utilizing the services of the CCRR program Provide childcare information, consultations, and referrals to families Facilitate workshops, courses, programs, networking, community events and conferences for childcare providers, early childhood educators and parentsRecruit, register and conduct home visits of registered License Not Required Family Child Care providersPlan and implement outreach activities to childcare providers and families including story times in the park.Provide support and assistance to families and childcare providers accessing our Early Learning Lending LibraryProvide consultation, networking, training, and resource development to childcare providers To provide backfill on an as needed basis to any YMCA BC CCRR office location in our current service areas-Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, Anmore, Belcarra, Burnaby, and New WestminsterTo work in collaboration and partnership and maintain positive working relationships with other community agencies and service providersTo know, understand and maintain all BC Government CCRR Program Standards and YMCA BC legal requirements Qualifications3 years experience in child care including direct experience working with childrenTraining and Education related to child groth and development, an assetEarly Childhood Educator License, (IT/SN Designation and asset)Valid drivers license and personal vehicle – Requirement of positionMust be able to lift 15 pounds (set up and take down of program including chairs, tables and program supplies) – Requirement of positionAbility to work independently, take initiative and manage time effectively Administrative experience, background in customer experience, computers and Microsoft Office 365Ability to speak additional languages, an assetSituation:YMCA BC is a charity dedicated to strengthening the foundations of community, by nurturing the potential of children, teens & young adults, promoting healthy lifestyles, fostering a sense of social responsibility and delivering lasting personal & social change to grow in spirit, mind, and body.Since January 2023, YMCA of Northern British Columbia, YMCA-YWCA of Kamloops and YMCA of Greater Vancouver are officially one association, with one mission to strengthen our impact for communities across British Columbia.
