Senior Construction Manager - Kingston area

One of our top partners in the Electric Vehicle space is preparing to build a facility that will be a crucial part of Canada’s Electric Vehicle (EV) supply chain in Kingston area. Our client is looking for a Senior Construction Manager who will be responsible for envisioning, engaging and executing all construction related planning, strategy and on field activity partnering with project leaders and EPCM partners. Responsibilities - Develop construction related strategies and executing the construction scope of the project. - Lead Construction Labour Market Assessment and make recommendations for contract types and labour rates for cost forecasting. - Scrutinize, challenge, and hold accountable, multiple contractors on scope, schedule and cost. - Oversee the design, construction, and warranty handover of projects to ensure project meets set standards. - Develop and maintain pre-construction and construction schedules, procurement schedules, commissioning and PDI schedules. - Lead the technical expert team to prepare, revise, and approve technical documentation in the construction phase (RCAI matrix, roadblocks, risk, etc.) - Set clear direction, priorities, work plans and performance feedback for Engineering Discipline leaders and their organization. Qualifications - Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent qualification in Construction, Mechanical. Electrical, Civil or other Engineering focused with construction field-specific training or certification. - 20+ years of progressive construction leadership experience with at least 10+ years in leading construction projects for large industrial projects in Automotive, Oil & Gas, or Material/Mining Industry. - In depth knowledge of construction related EHS Standards, legal requirements and industry good practices. - Knowledge of industrial project trades and the interactions between all trades. - Good working knowledge of MS Office. - Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
