Junior IT Specialist

Introduction

We are hiring a Junior IT Specialist for our client located in Montreal. In this role you will be assisting in the implementation of process improvements to enhance data accuracy and efficiencies, help with recurring data validation and data cleansing, and support infrastructure and network maintenance activities. This is a permanent opportunity looking to hire as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation of process improvements to enhance data accuracy and efficiencies.
• Develop and maintain SAPB1 dashboards and reports.
• Responding to user inquiries and troubleshooting user hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Support infrastructure and network maintenance activities.
• Creating user guides and documentation for common issues, business processes, and automation.
• Help with recurring data validation and data cleansing.
• Support EDI implementations and troubleshooting.
• Backup for Business Systems Admin and Business Solutions Analyst when on vacation or out of office.

Requirements

• Knowledge of relational databases (e.g., MS SQL Server).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong familiarity with Excel; knowledge of lookup formulas, and pivots a must, knowledge of macros a plus.
• Proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Clear communication skills to troubleshoot, advise, and educate end-users and other support specialists
• Knowledge of .NET programming languages (C# or Visual Basic).
• Knowledge of UML diagram design practices (using LucidChart, draw.io, etc.).
• Experience with Test-driven development (TDD).
• Experience working in a DevOps or Agile environment.
