JOB DESCRIPTION Ecolab is currently seeking candidates for an Application Specialist role to support the Nalco Water Downstream business in Lower Mainland, BC. If you are a passionate technical professional that likes to work in an autonomous, hands-on environment, we invite you to apply. You will be primarily responsible for working with Sales Representatives on executing service plans in strategic district accounts. This will involve the completion of agreed-upon contractual services in your assigned accounts, and providing customers with problem-solving support. You will also assist District Sales Representatives with start-ups of both new applications in current customers, and in transitioning competitively-held accounts. Actively support innovations and technology in the strategic district accounts where you provide your support to District Sales Representatives.Position Details:Based out of Lower Mainland, BC.Territory includes travel to Burnaby, Prince George, Kitimat and surrounding areas. Some out of province travel may be required.30% - 40% overnight travel will be required.Minimum Qualifications:Post Secondary diploma and related industry experienceMust have a valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle recordAble to travel to the US for training/meetingsNo immigration sponsorship is available for this positionPhysical Demands:Must have the ability to Lift/Push/Pull/Carry up to 55 pounds chest highPreferred Qualifications:Post Secondary diploma or degree in engineering or chemical technologyStrong mechanical aptitudePractical computer application literacy including Microsoft Office, and the ability to learn internal business systems.Prior experience that required excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic and the ability to multitask.Experience in oil and gas industry preferredPrevious Refinery/Petrochemical experienceWater treatment or specialty chemical industry experience#li-caAnnual or Hourly Compensation Range:Base salary range is $64,000 – $67,000. This position has base salary and is eligible for overtime.Annual or Hourly Compensation Range is based on full-time 40 hours per week. Ecolab in good faith anticipates it will pay within the posted range.
