Production Supervisor

Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager the Production Supervisor will be responsible for all aspects of operation of the facility. They will work rotating 10 hour day shifts and be responsible for two shifts who rotate on a 12-hour rotation. The Production Supervisor will ensure their teams safely produce the highest quality product in the most efficient means possible.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure safety rules are followed by all staff
• Guide staff in the efficient production of high-quality products
• Supervise all production, packaging, sanitation and warehouse staff on their shift.
• Participate in the hiring of all operations staff
• Support the Continuous Improvement manager in improvement initiatives
• Work with maintenance staff to optimize factory uptime
• Ensure all documentation is completed properly
• Support the delivery of optimum safety, quality and efficiency through the identification and elimination of inefficiencies on the process
• Coordinate all sanitation tasks
• Assist in the development of competencies of all staff to align with company goals
• Communicate all direction from management to shift personnel
• Training, mentoring and guiding team members in new processes and procedures

FOOD SAFETY AND QUALITY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participate in Training as needed
• Ensure Quality Standards are met
• Follow GMP Practices

SKILLS REQUIRED (INCLUDE EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND PROFICIENCY):

• Experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering or Food Science or equivalent manufacturing experience required
• 5 Years in a management or supervisory role
• Excellent team building and communication skills

Salary : $70,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
