One of our top partners in the Electric Vehicle space is preparing to build a facility that will be a crucial part of Canada’s Electric Vehicle (EV) supply chain in Kingston area. For this new site, we are looking for a Project Manager - Engineering with vast experience in managing mega industrial projects. In this role, you will be responsible for managing, planning, and supporting the team responsible for designing and construction of this facility. Responsibilities - Lead and manage cross-functional teams for the technical design and construction of the production plant. - Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation. - Supervise the construction, installation and commissioning of assigned projects. - Liaise with EPCm companies, equipment manufacturers and vendors. - Allocate and manage project resources effectively to meet the project goals. - Monitor project budgets, control costs, and optimize resources. - Initiate continuous improvement plans in the engineering department to enhance efficiency and productivity. - Create regular reports, project documentation, and presentations to keep the management and key stakeholders updated. Qualifications - Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering (preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation/Automation, Chemical) - 10+ years in managing industrial projects in operational environments. - Experience managing both Internal employees as well as external vendors/contractors. - Possess technical background in execution of engineering projects. - Knowledge of MS Office and design software such as AutoCAD. - Familiar with EHS standards and industry good practices. - Collaborative and problem solver with an ability to support and coach team members.
