What we are hiring for: We are currently looking for a full-time Human Resources Coordinator to join the team at our Administration Office in Petrolia. This position provides day-to-day support to the Human Resource department under the direction of the Human Resources Director. The successful candidate will be responsible for: Tracking employee data such as salary and vacation increases, benefits and pension eligibility; facilitating employee enrolment in benefit plans Coordinating with the accounting department for the processing of bi-weekly payroll and completing any HR-related changes in HRIS systems Maintaining accurate personnel files and database records in collaboration with HR team to ensure legal compliance Supporting the recruitment process including preparing and posting job openings, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, completing references, liaising with community partners and attending recruitment events Onboarding all new hires, verifying employment requirements, creating and maintaining email and software accounts Acting as a resource for employees for HR related inquiries Administration of all summer student/student grant/co-op opportunities (Apprenticeship, Canada Jobs program etc.) Assisting with providing research for policies, training, strategic planning and other human resources initiatives What you will need: Degree or Diploma in Human Resources Management or related field of study required Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation or working towards preferred 1-2 years of related work experience in human resources field Knowledge of relevant employment legislation (ESA, AODA, OHSA, Human Rights Legislation etc.) Experience with Microsoft 365 and Human Resource Information Systems Valid "G" or "G2" class license and reliable vehicle Be willing to provide a clear Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check Be legally entitled to work in Canada Compensation and scheduling: $26.38 - $27.19 per hour based on experience Full-time - 40 hours per week Monday to Friday - 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Occasional weekend/evening hours as required for events What we offer: Group Benefits including Health & Dental Benefits Vacation and Health & Wellness Time Short and Long-term Disability Coverage Life Insurance Group Pension Plan with Employer Contribution Matching Employee Assistance Program Corporate Retail, Mobility and Entertainment Discounts (Rogers, YMCA, etc.) Training and Development Opportunities Application deadline: May 15, 2024 @ 4:00 pm About LCDS: Lambton County Developmental Services started back in 1955 when a group of parents whose children with developmental disabilities came together while dreaming of a life without limitation for their loved ones.
