About the Team: As part of the Operations department of P2C’s Central Services, the Corporate Services team facilitates the daily functioning and upkeep of P2C’s National Resource Centre in Abbotsford, BC. The facility is a focal point of activity in accelerating P2C’s mission. The Resource Centre Operations Manager leads the Corporate Services team and helps P2C maximize its use and stewardship of the facility so that the Resource Centre can be used to bless P2C’s ministries and kingdom partners across Canada. About the Role: The Resource Centre Operations Manager is responsible for achieving the following objectives: Facilities management Manage contracts with vendors to provide maintenance, negotiating pricing where appropriate and ensuring exemplary serviceTrack budgets for operating the Resource Centre monthly by managing costs and generating revenue (via regular internal billing and external income sources)Keep all facility safety procedures up-to-date, including Forklift Driver’s and First Aid Attendant’s certifications, annual emergency drills, required licenses/permits, fire inspections, etc.Manage the warehouse to optimize use of spaceCo-chair the Joint Health & Safety Committee with the HR DirectorPrioritize cleanliness and orderliness throughout the facilityRegularly improve efficiencies and internal processes to minimize operating costs wherever possibleProactively seek quotes for capital equipment replacements as needed Collaborate with P2C’s IT team to ensure that meeting room tech is well-supported and meetings can happen effectivelyAssist in covering for Corporate Services team members in their absences, as necessaryServe as the first point of contact for after-hours emergencies and respond promptly to all alarm calls Stewardship of the National Resource Centre Work with each Ministry and Central team’s neighbourhood leader to ensure that staff are able to maximize the use of the facility and leverage the opportunities of the NRC’s activity-based workplace modelGenerate income for P2C by actively pursuing rentals (through external partners) and memberships in the NRC to meet annual income targetsServe as a liaison for P2C with the local communityGive oversight to the NRC’s Environmental Brand Standard, collaborating with leadership and Creative Services when changes are needed, so that design choices are cohesive and echo P2C’s missionProvide support when needed to help execute internal & external events on-site Leadership Lead, motivate, and equip all Corporate Services staff to work to their strengths through helpful feedback, regular supervisory meetings, and the staff objectives and development cycleManage the Corporate Services team well as they attend to the daily and weekly facility management and reception tasks that keep the facility functioning optimally as a clean, orderly, properly stocked, and hospitable workplaceEncourage a team culture that places high value on hospitalitySupport the effective leadership of P2C’s Operations department and Central Services more broadly, through active participation in regularProvide faith-filled spiritual leadership to the Corporate Services team through weekly devotionals and team prayer times Insurance Support Support the Executive Director of Operations + Analytics in managing P2C’s insurance including: oversee the Corporate Services team’s engagement with P2C’s insurance broker around certificates of insurance requested by P2C staffmaintaining inventory lists, facilitating building appraisals when needed, etcproviding support to P2C’s regional office locations as neededcompiling required information for annual insurance renewal Other Responsibilities: Active participation in weekly corporate chapel and semi-annual prayer daysParticipation in fundraising initiatives alongside other Operations staffMaintain the National Resource Centre Knowledge Library pages on WorkplaceSpecial projects as assigned by Executive Director of Operations + Analytics About You: You have at least 3 - 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a non-profit organizationYou have proven ability to lead a team and help your direct reports thriveYou have experience managing and negotiating with vendors and service providersYou are self-motivated and take initiative without promptingYou are motivated to build B2B & B2C relationships to help generate revenueYou have knowledge and experience of building maintenance systems and services related to building security, fire safety, waste/recycling disposal, elevator/electrical/plumbing maintenance, janitorial services, equipment servicing, interior/exterior building maintenance, etcYou have effective communication and people skillsYou have experience in leading people through changeYou have effective problem-solving and time-management skillsYou have strong administrative and project management skillsYou have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google What We Offer Our Staff: Competitive salaryEmployer-paid extended health and dental benefitsGroup RRSP contribution options with up to 3.5% matching after 1 year of employmentAccess to our Employment Assistant Program (EAP) Paid vacationMentorship opportunitiesWeekly Chapel servicesSemi-annual Day of Prayer participationDiscounts at our Resource Centre
