Responsibilities What your day will look likeProject Management & Design Management of acoustics, noise and vibration projects for facilities (including oil and gas facilities, power generating facilities, and industrial/manufacturing facilities), transportation projects, Land Use Compatibility Assessments, etc.Provision of technical support to junior level staff on project work including monitoring, modelling, development of abatement strategies, and regulatory liaisonBusiness Development Coordination of business development activities related to acoustics, noise and vibration services including proposal development and client liaisonBusiness travel upon requestLearning & Development Commit to self-development and ongoing learning and professional developmentInput to the career development of junior staff, including technical direction, training recommendations, coaching and mentoringContribute to Dillon’s corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees Qualifications What you will need to succeedA degree in mechanical engineering, environmental engineering, or a related engineering disciplineExperience in environmental consulting or related experience in acoustics, noise and vibrationLicensed to practice as a Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario, or eligible to be licensed within six months Experience Experience in many of the following areas of service:environmental noisebuilding acousticsland development assessmentnoise monitoringvibration monitoring and assessmentnoise abatementKnowledge of acoustic assessment study requirements and facility permitting proceduresAn understanding of federal, provincial, and municipal laws, guidelines, and regulations pertaining to noise and vibration issuesDemonstrated abilities in project teamwork and client relationship buildingAbility to work independently and thrive in an environment that provides quality, solution-oriented consulting servicesStrong interpersonal, communication, and critical thinking skillsWhy choose DillonDillon is powered by people who are technically proficient, passionate about socially important projects, and motivated to deliver superior, tangible results.
