Description :Union Name:Union Local:Union Classification (Title): RN as applicable Salary: RN Visit RateNursing Schedule: As per collective agreementAccess to reliable vehicle in community home care is requiredFor both Non- Union and Union jobs, the below description will apply:Responsibilities1) Ensuring resident / patient care is provided with established nursing standards and principles, physicians’ orders and administrative policies2) Assisting in the assessment and monitoring of residents / patients while working to develop, implement, review and evaluate resident/patient care plans3) Managing and evaluating the work of nursing and personal care staff assigned to the unit, including orientations and other supervisory duties4) Monitoring performance, conducting performance appraisals and referring problems to the Director of Care5) Provide direction to the nursing department in the absence of the Director of Care Qualifications1) Appropriate current certificate of competence from the Approved Institutions for the province2) Registered/eligible for registration with the Approved Professional Institutions for the province3) Previous similar experience in Community or long-term care, with comprehensive knowledge of duties4) Ability to work individually and as part of a team, to prioritize tasks in order of urgency5) Excellent communication (verbal and written) and comprehension skills6) Developed creative problem-solving skills to look at the “big picture”Time Type:Part timeJoin us as we continue our 40-year tradition to help people live better and provide the most compassionate care possible!
