Position: Product Manager, Mining Reagents Location: Ideally this person will be located in Quebec or Ontario Status: Full time, permanent (1) Are you known for your initiative, creative ideas, and strategies to develop your business? Do you have a good knowledge of the gold mining chemical market? Are you recognized in the industry for your marketing expertise in promoting product lines in the mining reagent space? We are currently seeking an energetic and motivated professional to fill the position of Product Manager for our Mining division. We are looking for a candidate with significant marketing experience and an established network of relationships in the mining industry. Ideally, the candidate would be close to one of our offices in Quebec or Ontario and is fully bilingual in English and French. This could include sales and marketing strategies, inventory management, supporting the sales team and achieving sales and gross margin goals. Manage relationships with an international supplier base Pivotal in working with our Shanghai office to source products and gather market intelligence Formally evaluate the performance of key suppliers Responsible for continued market development and sustained profitable growth of the product portfolio Central role in working very closely with the corporate sales force and balancing corporate objectives, customer requirements, and supplier expectations Review contractual language to strike the right balance between managing risk and closing the deal Weekly reporting and scheduling using Quadra's digital tools Special projects as delegated by the Business Manager geared towards the candidate’s key strengths Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Finance or Business related field A Master in Business Administration would be considered as a strong asset Experience in chemical product management or procurement, with an emphasis on overseas sourcing Knowledge of the gold mineral processing industry would be an asset Knowledge of gold mining reagents and chemicals would be an asset Experience in market analysis and development of marketing plans and strategies Previous experience in commodities trading/banking/financial sector would be an asset Professional procurement accreditation and supply/purchasing training an asset You must be bilingual (French/English) for this role Advanced computer skills (Excel, Power Point; to work effectively with the Office 365 suite) as well as strong CRM skills (Salesforce experience would be an asset) Proven business acumen and commercial knowledge Enthusiastic about contributing to a high-performance culture and accustomed to a fast-paced environment Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time (including overnight); you must have a valid driver’s license and passport In addition to being Great Place to Work® certified, Quadra has been recognized as one of the Best Managed Companies for over 20 years and as a Great Place to Work for Women ®!
