If that sounds like a challenge you want to help tackle, we want you to join our team! Posting Close Date: July 16th, 2024The OpportunityWe are seeking a skilled EIC Measurement Technician to join our Canada Gas Operations team in Bonnyville, AB. Reporting to the Wood Buffalo Measurement Area Manager, the technician will repair, install, troubleshoot, and perform planned maintenance and corrective tasks on assigned electronic, pneumatic, and/or mechanical control systems, devices, and ancillary equipment. The successful candidate will also operate and maintain natural gas measurement and instrumentation equipment in a manner that meets operational needs, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory requirements. This individual must be a self-starter, capable of working with minimal supervision, who possesses excellent troubleshooting, problem solving, and communication skills. What you’ll do Support natural gas measurement equipment (flow/pressure control systems, RTU’s, orifice meters, Coriolis meters, ultrasonic meters, hydrocarbon dewpoint analyzers, H2S analyzers) Other systems and equipment relevant to the pipeline system Perform valve maintenance Perform emergency repairs to meet customer and client needs Interpret technical reference documents, drawings, and vendor manuals Lead/manage the safe and efficient completion of low/medium complexity projects including the coordination and monitoring of contractor work activities or third-party active control Ensure facilities, personnel, and contractors comply with TC Energy's safety, health, environment, and risk standards Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to other personnel Complete work orders, enter data into job plans, create new work orders, etc. in SAP Minimum Qualifications Journeyperson Electrician or Instrumentation certification5 years of relevant industrial work experience Experience maintaining instrumentation systems to include a thorough understanding of the test equipment used to maintain the system Preferred Qualifications Instrumentation and some Valve maintenance experience Experience working with high pressure natural gas Additional industry related certifications and/or experience Familiarity with SAP and the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) Have and maintain a valid class 5 driver’s license and provide a driver’s abstract for review Successfully complete a pre-employment medical screening, to include drug and alcohol testing Carry a Company provided cell phone and work a rotating on-call schedule Be subject to call out 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and work extended days and/or weeks for emergency response purposes Travel to other company locations for temporary assignments, meetings, or training which would involve some overnight stays away from homeBe subject to working conditions which include adverse weather and temperatures and cramped conditions About our businessTC Energy is a leading energy infrastructure company in North America.
