Facilities Manager - Kingston area

One of our top partners in the Electric Vehicle space is preparing to build a facility that will be a crucial part of Canada’s Electric Vehicle (EV) supply chain in Kingston area. Our client is looking for a Site Services Manager who will be responsible for the general site services of this facility. Responsibilities - Manage all policies, procedures, and processes for the operational work areas and future facility. - Collaborate with other departments to ensue site services are - Ensure that the non-production facilities such as reception, security offices, etc. are well maintained and properly set-up. - Ensure that the external vendors for general services (laundry, cleaning services,...) are well managed and set-up. - Systematically manage the site management services and assess future staffing requirements. - Prepare yearly budget for site services and identify areas for optimization and monitoring costs. - Manage arrangements for non-IT related office supplies such as office equipment like chairs, desks. - Create and implement a security plan focusing on access control, perimeter security, surveillance systems and response protocols. - Manage and maintain security systems (set up, updates, and upgrades). - Create onboarding process for site employees and other admin processes. Qualifications - Master's or Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience working in manufacturing. - Knowledge of public administration processes related laws. - Knowledge of operational excellence tool such as 5S, VSM, lean 6 sigma, etc.) - Advance computer skills such as MS office and PowerBi.. - Strong communication and problem-solving skills Summary If you are someone who is passionate about being a part of an organization focused on innovation and sustainability, this might be the next step in your career.
