Project Engineer

Our client is currently seeking a Project Engineer for a 1 year contract with opportunity for renewal/extension. Successful candidate will be working primarily on Capital Projects work orders.

Responsibilities:

• Maintaining a co-operative, motivated and successful project team
• Developing, planning, defining and executing capital investment projects
• Ensuring that projects are delivered on time, to budget and required quality standards
• Ensuring that projects are effectively resourced
• Managing relationships with a wide range of groups, including plant Engineers/Operators, Maintenance/Safety groups
• Managing the work of in-house CapEx Engineering teams and external Engineering consultants, allocating and utilising resources
• Ensure project schedules are developed and maintained throughout all project stages, implement corrective measures as required

Requirements:

• 5+ years Petrochem experience
• Professional Engineer designation - Required
• Familiarity with multi-discipline project scopes, ie.- process/ piping design, mechanical / civil & structural / electrical/instrument & controls Engineering
• Must be entitled work in Canada.
• NOTE: Having expertise within at least one Engineering discipline is an asset
