Leadership (formal or informal) of an energy team:Identifies and bring together key individuals within other departments to support Saputo’s strategic energy management initiatives.Develops metrics and KPI to be followed and properly understood.Develops a reporting structure that includes roles and responsibilities of team members.Leads regular team meetings and creates and encourages an environment where will exist a process to capture feedback from members.Define, prioritize, and manage initiatives for energy management.Completes system audits to identify quick wins and optimization of existing systems.Facilitates studies and activities to generate project opportunities.Prioritizes and tracks project opportunities with the support of the Sustainability team.Develops business cases for specific projects/budgets for 2025 and beyond.Becomes the point of contact for contractors providing energy management or project support.Become a local source of technical and market intelligence:Understands all areas of energy use, including electricity, diesel, natural gas, water, and renewable energy sources.Creates an inventory of potential areas of exploration for future opportunities.Understands technologies related to site energy efficiency, carbon reduction, electrification, and capacity management.Baseline monitoring, performance auditing, and reporting:Creates a multi-year baseline of energy uses for Saputo.Monitors energy use year-over year and reports on seasonal variations and annual trends.Develops metrics for tracking progress against Saputo’s targets and goals.Develops holistic reporting that encompasses policies, communication strategies, engagement plans, energy models, project lists, budgeting, business insights and how these integrate into Saputo’s overall strategy.Act as subject matter expert aligned with the Climate and Water targets of our Environmental Pledges:Reduce CO2 intensity of our operations by 20%.Reduce the energy intensity of our operations by 10%.Reduce the water intensity of our operations by 10%.Communications, Outreach, and Promotion:Completes stakeholder engagement activities across the organization.Develops energy-related communications plans for employees and contractors.Creates Outreach opportunities to engage with staff.You are best suited for the role if you… BA in Engineering or BTech in Electrical, Mechanical or Food TechnologyCertified Energy Manager (CEM) an assetMinimum of 5 years work experience in industrial process and in the operation, maintenance and management of electrical and lighting systems or mechanical systems.Excellent knowledge of energy efficient technologies.Familiarity with the Applicant’s facilities and industrial process.Certified Energy Manager (CEM); Energy efficiency training such as the CIET Energy Management Training course and/or LEED Professional Accreditation considered an asset.We support and care for our employees by providing them with…·Competitive salaries (106k-115k)·Advantageous corporate agreements ·Full range of group insurance benefits ·Group retirement pension plan with employer contribution ·Purchase option of company stocks·Group RRSP ·Health and wellness program in the workplace ·Assistance program for employees and their families ·Saputo products at a discounted price Our story began in Canada in 1954, when the Saputo family's hard work and dedication created a thriving dairy business.
