POSITION PURPOSE:

· Provide the Primacoustic sales team with internal support and day-to-day assistance on various projects including but not limited to drawings and renderings of acoustic treatment layout plans.

· Create quotes and estimates of acoustic treatment solutions for various commercial spaces and projects.

· Create custom part and panel drawings using CAD, and 3D modeling software.

· Entry-level position with expectation for growth.

· Self-directed position with Primacoustic team and corporate support.

EXPERIENCE / SKILLS AS IT RELATES TO:

· Technical proficiency and experience using CAD and 3D modeling software

· Technical proficiency in reading architectural drawings, floorplans, specifications, CAD, etc.

· A proficient understanding of various concepts surrounding acoustics and sound (i.e. using an RT60 calculator to determine the best level of treatment.)

· Experience using a variety of software as it relates to using CAD, using 3D modeling tools, editing of documents, and using spreadsheets.

· A highly-motivated individual with an apt for solving problems using practical means and the ability to manage a high volume of work while meeting strict deadlines.

· Experience or education within the following industries include but are not limited to A/V integration, acoustics, architecture and design, building materials, and construction.

· Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize projects and work within the means of the materials provided.

· Eagerness to learn and gain valuable experience within a growing industry.

JOB DUTIES :

1. Use CAD and 3D modeling software to create and refine detailed designs and models of commercial spaces with acoustic treatment, ensuring they meet the required design specifications and standards outlined by the customer.

2. Optimize designs to ensure they are practical, and easy to follow, while showing a detailed understanding of the Primacoustic product lineup.

3. Work closely with the sales team and other internal departments to understand project requirements and timelines, ensuring that all design work aligns with the overall project goals and deadlines.

4. Provide internal sales support by assisting in day to day administrative tasks including but not limited to the creation of quotes/estimates within Primacoustic’s ERP system, and supporting the product team to ensure custom part drawings are accurate and progressing the product pipeline.

5. Ensure all designs and models are accurate, identifying and correcting errors or discrepancies before finalizing drawings and designs.

6. Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation for each rendering, including specifications, material lists, ensuring clarity and accuracy.

7. Continuously seek ways to improve design processes and workflows, implementing new tools, techniques, or software that can enhance efficiency and productivity.

8. Collaborate with the sales team review designs and drawings with team members, offering constructive recommendations and a thorough overview of the work completed.

9. Stay updated with the latest product developments to maintain a high level of expertise and contribute to the team's knowledge base.

10. Effectively work within a diverse variety of market segments including but not limited to; House of Worship, Construction (Drywall, Acoustic Ceiling), Architects, Consultants, Distributors, Retail Professionals, AV Professionals, Hospitality Industry Professionals, Facilities Management Professionals etc.

9. Technical Expertise – Training is provided but the job requires an in-depth understanding of the products, technical specifications and application. The Jr Designer / Estimator must be able to deal on the same level with Architects and engineers when promoting the brand and choosing the right products for the job.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

1. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.

2. Must be able to bend, climb stairs, and continuously stand or walk 25% of the time.

3. Must be able to occasionally move within the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

4. Must be able to lift 10-20 pounds (for example: packages, copy paper boxes, etc.)

5. Must be able to communicate effectively by listening and also in both written and verbal forms.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

1. Generally, works in an office or sometimes in a home office environment but may be required to perform job duties outside of the typical office setting.

2. This position regularly requires large amounts of time to be spent using and viewing computer screens and equipment, which generally entails regular and repetitive motions.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

1. University / College business / technical discipline and/or equivalent work experience.

2. Minimum of 1-2 years of architectural/construction drawing and design experience with CAD and various modeling software and/or equivalent education.

3. Must demonstrate self-motivation, enthusiasm, organizational skills, and be goal-oriented.

4. Must demonstrate effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

5. Must be able to travel as needed (10%) US / Canada.

6. Practical problem-solving ability, technical know-how, and strong network and relationship-building skills

Full-time preferred, opportunity for part-time and summer employment starting at $40,000+ pending previous experience.
