Role Summary : As an Accounting Clerk / Bookkeeper at Casey Concrete Limited you will play a vital role in maintaining our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. You will be responsible for reconciling accounts, ensuring accuracy in financial documentation, and providing support for our financial operations.

Responsibilities include :

  • Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, journals, and other financial documents.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable, including issuing invoices, tracking payments, and managing collections.
  • Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and statements.
  • Accurately input financial data into accounting software.
  • Assist with audits and other financial reviews.
  • Support payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate payroll records.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.
  • Perform general administrative duties related to finance and accounting.

Must Have’s :

  • A diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in accounting or bookkeeping is required.
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues.
  • Strong proficiency MS Office programs.

An Asset to Have :

  • Bookkeeping Certificate is a plus but not mandatory.

Location : Amherst, NS

Pay : $20-$23 per hour

Status : Full-time, Seasonal(potential to go permanent)
