DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Create a distinctive onboarding experience for new team members, guiding and supporting them through orientation processes Collaborate with the Recruiting team to attract top talent for open roles and ensure an exceptional candidate experience Foster a culture of continuous learning, supporting team members at every stage of their journey Act as the primary point of contact for HR questions for the local team members Assist with the creation, documentation, and implementation of new HR programs Support benefits administration, including open enrollment Manage the offboarding process and conduct exit interviews, synthesizing feedback to identify trends and propose initiatives to address highlighted concerns Advocate for ongoing intentional feedback between team members and their managers, offering support and guidance Foster team member engagement and retention, proposing strategies to enhance our work environment based on feedback Ensure the accuracy of payroll data in each cycle and maintain the integrity of HR systems Play an active role in the continued implementation of the firmwide HR platform focusing on data integrity, workflows, and knowledge documentation Additional project support within the HR function as needed and available You will be a great fit if you have: 5+ years of experience in an HR Business Partner role or equivalent experience Proficiency with Canadian employment law and regulations Experience working in a matrixed environment as a sole HR Practitioner Experience working in the AEC industry is a plus Advanced experience with MS Office products including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams Degree or Diploma in Human Resources with a CHRP/CHRL designation is a plus Additional Attributes Proficient in both English and French, with strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages. Energetic, fun, solution-oriented, self-motivated, hardworking, roll up your sleeves and get it done type personality. Ability to prioritize and complete work promptly without active supervision is critical, but similarly important is knowing when to ask for help . Focused on HR trends, developments, and best practices. Critical thinker with innovative problem-solving skills. Excellent communicator, both written and verbal that can multitask and respond quickly to competing priorities. Work Authorization/Security Clearance: Must have work authorization to work in Canada. Location: In Office, Montreal, at the beginning of employment with Hybrid possibilities afterwards. Travel: 15%
