Job Purpose: Manage the transportation functions with a primary goal of servicing the Barilla customer base, optimizing On-Time Delivery (OTD), while ensuring logistic costs remain competitive in the market. Responsibilities: Modeling and Analysis: •Work with Logistics team to gather logistics assumptions for annual budget and forecast.•Prepare budget/forecast reconciliations and analyses for management.•Complete ad-hoc studies when requested on the budget, forecasts and closing activities. Business Partnering: •Develop and maintain monthly financial and operational scorecard/KPI’s for the Logistics function•Work with the Supply Chain team to help identify and track cost savings opportunities.•Communicate to Corporate Logistics Finance assumptions and business drivers.•Develop logistics costs on new product introductions for the development of P&L’s by the business teams. Monthly Closure: •Prepare monthly reconciliation between actuals and budget/forecast•Communicate monthly results to management. •Oversee work of finance specialist who supports logistics invoice payments, allocations and accruals. Provide back-up support for specialist as needed. Additional Information (include minimum education level, experience, competencies, equipment used, licenses, etc. in this area): •Bachelor’s degree preferred•Customer sensitivity and focus•Ability to work independently and with teams•2 – 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain, Logistics and Transportation preferred, preferably in the CPG industry•Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience preferred•Excellent problem solving, mediation, and negotiation skills•Active listening skills and ability to assess situations quickly and accurately as it relates to the customer•Strong influencing and consultative skills•Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills•Excellent ability to build and maintain cross-functional working relationships with internal and external stakeholders•Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation skills •ERP experience – SAP preferred, or other leading ERP systems•Knowledge of warehouse and transportation management systems preferred•Strong analytical & problem-solving skills•Proficiency in MS Office environment tools Barilla is an equal opportunity employer.
