Senior Experience Designer- UI Motion, EA SPORTS FC

Responsibilities: Influence and drive holistic UI Motion Language development of EA SPORTS FC player experience. UI Orchestration: Establish the design for how all visible elements are timed, sequenced and composed. Interactive Motion Design: The detailed design for end-to-end interactive behaviors ranging from macro interactive moments to micro interactive details. Craft videos that illustrate the design, including slow motion references to provide implementation guidance. Experiential prototyping: Design experience sets that bring all relevant elements together, defining connective tissue, emotion, aesthetic, comprehension and creative direction for next generation navigation and features. Design Documentation: Develop visual communications with supporting annotations to explain the ideas and how they should be understood for implementation. Contribute in growing the UI design system to ensure that players enjoy a consistent and immersive gaming experience. Collaborate with Product, Game Designer(s) and UX partners to understand their vision and design the best pathways to guide our players through the menus and options. Partner with Experience Design, Brand, Producers, Art Directors, and Software Engineering teams. Mentor and coach experience designers and motion designers. Help build an inspired, collaborative, and inclusive culture within the team. You will report to the Visual Craft & UI Director responsible for UI across the AAA product. Requirements: Expert motion design skills (AE). Strong visual design skills (i.e., composition, iconography, layout, typography, and color theory) Strong 3D design experience (Maya, C4D, KeyShot) Knowledge of usability principles and designing for accessibility, diversity, and inclusivity. Collaborative mindset, to participate in a transparent and learning culture within the team. Conviction to sell your ideas, prototype quickly, and refine feedback. Expertise in Figman, Adobe Suite (PS, AI, XD), and other visual design tools. A portfolio showcasing work samples, inclusive of unique and original designs. You are: Creative and passionate about design. An advocate for user centered design processes (player first). Up-to-date with current design and art trends. Successful in a team-oriented, product-focused environment. Enjoy collaboration and appreciate the exchange of ideas and concepts. Empathic and able to inspire positivity within your team. Nice to have: Game development experience with UI and UX pipelines. Willingness to learn new tools such as Frostbite, Rime, Unity. Even though you will not work directly in those tools, it helps translate bold ideas into implementable patterns. Familiarity with Flash animation. It is required you share a portfolio or work samples, inclusive of unique and original designs for web, mobile, or console platforms. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs. BASE SALARY RANGES • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria):º $114,050 - $171,750 CAN Annually Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees.
