Position: Fixed Plant Millwright (Mine) Location: Timmins, Ontario. Schedule: Rotation - 7 Days on, 7 days off Working hours: 10.5 Hour days. unionized: N/A Overtime: yes when applicable Introduction We are currently looking for a Fixed Plant Millwright to join our client’s team in Timmins, Ontario. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing fixed equipment, performing mechanical installations, and conducting preventative maintenance tasks. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the smooth operation of our facility and play a crucial part in ensuring equipment reliability. Responsibilities Safe and efficient maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, and repair of a range of traditional and sophisticated mining equipment. Supporting the operation in preventative, corrective and reactive maintenance work processes and providing feedback to optimize reliability. Adhering to and promoting all safety policies, procedures, and systems. Identifying and recommending opportunities for improvement of area activities or problem equipment. Perform daily tasks using Computer Maintenance Management Systems. Requirements Certificate of Qualification red seal Industrial Millwright. Preference to individuals with minimum two (2) years’ experience. A motivated individual, positive attitude, with a dynamic approach to getting tasks done in a safe and efficient manner and taking pride in accomplishment and their craftsmanship. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, locate, identify, and diagnose malfunctions. Strong ability to work under minimal supervision. Good interpersonal skills, communication skills and the ability to collaborate well with peers, engineering, and management. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and interest in continuous learning and improvement. Familiarity/experience with mining equipment such as hoist plants, pumps, compressors, piping systems and working in an underground environment would be considered an asset.
