The Group employs over 5,000 people in 14 countries. In November 2022, Latecoere completed the acquisition of Canadian-domiciled Avcorp Industries, becoming Latecoere’s Aerostructures Canadian unit. Overall Purpose of the Role: The acquisition & buyer is involved in the growth of the Aerostructure Branch by providing quick, competitive and reliable commitments from the purchasing department and the suppliers that are key inputs to win new businesses from Latecoere customers. He/She Achieves the RFI, RFQ, and BOM sourcing for the new program. Select suppliers in link with the strategy. Develop new products thanks to APQP review until the serial life and the first article inspection. MISSION: Is responsible for the costing for 100% of the buy BOM (Bill of Material): Is part of the Branch «Make or buy » decision at the beginning and at the end of the acquisition phase. Quote of raw material, detailed parts and workpackage for the new customer programs under acquisition · Quote buy items following 3 possible methodology: o Launch of RFQ (or RFI) to suppliers belonging to the supplier panel o Estimation using similar products already bought and LPP data when existing. o Estimation using costing tools with the support of the costing department. Submit prospect suppliers to the Global Commodity Buyer and participate to supplier panel reviews. Constant communication with the new acquisition team until the delivery of a formal costing commitment according to the acquisition planning and design maturity agreed during kick off meeting. Validation of all prices for buy parts before the communication to the sales leader. Involvement of the targeted suppliers at the earliest possible in order to ensure their commitment to conquer the new acquisition. Ensure deliverables of the end of acquisition phase are available and at the requested level of maturity: supply chain risk analysis, part criticality definition, sourcing plan. Be responsible of the handover of purchasing activities and data’s to the program Buyer when the acquisition phase arrives to the end. Manage purchasing workpackage or new development items to the final validation thanks to a FAI of the BOM. Quote of raw material, detailed parts and workpackage for the new customers programs Launch new call for tenders within the authorized suppliers (including Latecoere specific tools & jigs part of the program scope). Select suppliers with a multifunctional sourcing committee and set up contracts (including tools and jigs). Parameter purchasing information in order to place order in SAP. Follow up the first orders and the leadtime associated. Manage supplier development planning and sourcing plan to ensure purchasing program deliverables are available on time. Cascade Latecoere and customers’ requirements to the suppliers (KBT) ·Drive KPI purchasing Program and reporting associated. Is responsible for purchasing performance of the program (KPIs, deliveries, costs). Achieve and lead the APQP review for the new items until the end of project and start of serial life. Aviation experience is mandatory for this role.
